The Platinum Delta SkyMiles® credit card from American Express is one of the best frequent flyer credit cards for those who travel a lot. With the Platinum Delta SkyMiles® credit card you earn 20,000 bonus miles after making your first purchase. Each additional dollar you spend gives you 1 mile towards your next flight. You can redeem your miles when you reach 10,000 miles which can be converted into $100 off your next flight.
The initial bonus, which is essentially $200 is very nice on this card. The miles program is essentially a 1% cash back program which is nothing great, but they throw in something extra to make this card really worthwhile. Every year that your renew the card, you get a free companion bonus ticket. Now, the card does come with an annual fee of $150 or $95 if you have an additional AMEX card. This can be a small price to pay for a free ticket depending on where you’re going. If you have bad credit and can’t get approved for a credit card you might want to consider prepaid credit cards.
