Savings Institute Bank & Trust is offering an interest checking account called e.SI Checking that has 4% APY on balances up to $50,000 (1% for above) and refunds all ATM fees. In order to qualify you must make 10 debit card purchases, pay 1 bill through online billpay, and receive e-statements every month. The rate falls to .15% if these requirements are not met. The minimum deposit is $25 and there are no monthly service fees.

You can’t open an account in person and need to visit a branch. Branches of Savings Institute Bank & Trust are located in several Connecticut cities including Enfield, East Hampton, Grotn, Norwich, Hebron, Brooklyn, North Windham and Willimantic.
