Nassau Educators FCU 4% Checking

I’ve got some good news for your New Yorkers. Nassau Educators FCU is offering a new type of checking account named Go Green Checking. It has a 4% APY on balances up to $25,000 (1% for above) and you can get up to $25 back a month in refunded ATM fees.

To qualify you need to make 12 debit card purchases, need to make a direct deposit of at least $100 or pay one bill a month with their bill-pay service. If you can’t meet the requirements then the rate will be 1.05% on your account. Membership to the credit Union is open to Nassau County professionals, school employees and students. You need to deposit at least $5 into their savings account in order to become a member of their credit union.

This account is ideal for those who do bill payments online like I do and are in the Nassau County area. The credit union is federally insured by the NCUA.
