Connexus Credit Union is offering the following rates on their money market account:

1.5% APY on $1,000 to $10,000
1.75% APY $10,000 to $20,000
1.90% APY on $20,000 to $50,000
2% APY $50,000 to $100,000
2.25% APY on balances over $100,000

No interest is earned on balances below $1,000 and the account does have check writing capabilities for a minimum of $250. If you write a check for less than that there’s a $29.95 fee, which is pretty annoying. To visit their site click here.

It should also be noted that they may do a hard credit pull or check ChexSystems when you open an account.

Anyone can join the credit union by joining the Connexus Association which requires a $5 donation. Then joining the credit union requires a $5 deposit in their share high interest savings account.

This offer is available nationally, but if you’d like to open a checking account in person, Connexus has branches in New Hampshire, Ohio, and Wisconsin.
