Mountain America CU 4.75% 5 Year CD

Mountain America Credit Union reduced its 4% 1 year CD, but they still have their 5 year certificate of deposit that has an APY set at 4.75%. The minimum deposit for this is $1,000 and their early withdrawal penalty is just 90 days’ interest. However, the withdrawal’s must have the consent of the credit union.

Membership to the credit union is open to members of the American Consumer Council. Council membership costs $12 and is open to the general public. After gaining membership to the council, credit union membership requires a minimum deposit of $25 into the share savings account.

The credit union’s financials aren’t great but they are NCUA insured. The credit union also has over 300,000 members.
