Citizens First Bank 3.15% 22 Month CD

July 28th, 2009

Citizens First Bank is offering a 3.15% APY 22 month CD with a minimum deposit of $1,000. Click here to visit their website.

This certificate of deposit is available nationally and there’s an online application for the account. You can fund the account through and ACH transfer or by check. The rate locks only when they receive your funds, not when you submit your application. Once they receive your application you’ll be sent a signature card to complete the process. They have online banking options available on their website.

If you’d like to open an account in person, Citizens First Bank only has branches in Michigan.

Citizens First Bank has a low 1 out of 5 star soundness rating from bankrate so it is highly advised to stay under FDIC limits.

I usually prefer to fund the account through and ACH transfer, but is good to know that I can also do it by check.
