Here’s a good deal on CD rates for residents of Florida. BankUnited is offering a 3.25% APY 4 year CD and a 3.50% APY 5 year certificate of deposit which adds up to a lot of money when compounding interest is taken into account. The minimum deposit is $5,000. The early withdrawal penalty on these CDs is 180 days’ interest.
