HSBC Bank is offering a promotional free $75 when you open a Plus Checking Account with at least $1,500 in new money. In order to qualify for this promotion you must be a new HSBC checking customer and keep your account active for 180 days. Your bonus will be deposited into your account 6-8 weeks after you meet the requirements or around 8 months after you open the account.

In order to avoid a $15 monthly fee you’ll need at least $15,000 in combined HSBC balances. If you already have an online savings account at HSBC with at least $15,000 than this is a pretty easy requirement. If you don’t have one then that’s where you should keep most of your money so you can get a good interest rate on your funds.

You can also get $25 bonus when you open a Choice Checking Account with a Debit MasterCard by the end of March. This only requires a $500 and you only need $1,500 in combined balances to avoid monthly service charges. HSBC is a FDIC insured bank.
