Citizens Bank Checking Account Promotion

You get $50 for setting up a direct deposit of $250 or more, you get $25 for making 5 online bill payments, and you get $25 for making 5 signature based debit card purchases. You have to do each of these by April 30th 2010 in order to receive each of the bonuses. Bonuses will be credited to your checking account within 2 months after that. One additional note: you need to keep that account open for 6 months or the bonuses will be taken away.

Citizens Bank’s Green Checking Account qualifies for this promotion. The Green Checking Account only has a $50 initial deposit requirement and no monthly fees or minimum balance requirements. This account also comes with the Green$ense program that pays you 10 cents for every debit card purchase or online bill payment you make. It’s not much, but it’s better than getting nothing like you normally would.

This promotion appears to be available in Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Vermont.
